2018 syrah

White pepper, blue fruit, and soft tannins make this wine very approachable.This wine is also sourced from the Lieff Ranch Vineyard in southern SLO county. Barrel fermented in neutral oak and aged for approximately 16 months, with a small portion in new French oak for a brief time. We did not want to stray from our elegant style, so the wine is light on its feet with a refreshing vein of acidity throughout the palate.

White pepper, blue fruit, and eucalyptus are all on display here and the wine reminds us of some of our favorite Cote du Rhones. Pair this wine with game meats, Asian dishes with pronounced "umami", or leg of lamb.
