dandi sauvignon blanc - case
2018 sauvignon blanc
Reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, with notes of Meyer lemon, honeycrisp apple, and wet river rocks.
Sourced from the Lieff Ranch Vineyard at the very southern edge of San Luis Obispo County. We barrel fermented this wine in all neutral French Oak and it spent approximately 8 months in barrel. After 8 months it was moved to stainless steel tank to cold stabilize. We did a very gentle filtration prior to bottling.
The finished wine is more reminiscent of a Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley, with notes of Meyer lemon, honeycrisp apple, and wet river rocks. The use of oak contributes to the weight and roundness of the wine. Pair this with salmon, sole piccata, or tagine chicken.
