2018 Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir

We began working with Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir in 2017 and immediately fell in love. The block we source from was originally own-rooted Merlot, but has been switched to Pinot Noir. With healthy root-stock in place already, rather than start over the growers opted to graft the Pinot Noir onto the original Merlot root-stocks. In our opinions, this gives the wine a very unique underbrush and sage characteristic that we don't usually associate with Sta. Rita Hills.

Complex, elegant, and graceful. Expect this wine to only get better over the next decade!!
